Ghilotina i30 ShieldPy EW is a micro-emulsified concentrate, a non-persistent insecticide intended for application via spraying, fogging, ULV, or misting. It is used in food handling and storage areas, as well as for controlling public health pests and harmful insects.

Composition and Effectiveness:

i30 ShieldPy contains pyrethrins, natural substances purified from chrysanthemum flowers, which have been recognized in Europe for over 150 years. Initially used in powder form to combat lice and fleas, the product is synergized with piperonyl butoxide to enhance its efficiency and inhibit insects’ natural resistance mechanisms.

Mode of Action:

Pyrethrins cause a rapid knockdown effect on insects, followed by their death. The mechanism of action is based on contact effects, with toxicity resulting from the binding of pyrethrins to sodium channels, thereby inhibiting the insects’ nervous system. This leads to broad-spectrum insecticidal activity, and due to the non-persistence of the active ingredient in the environment, insect resistance is rarely encountered.
